Rough animatics: which makes the best funny?

Hi everyone,
I have my first set of rough animatics for the "bro" skit. Which one do you guys like the best? Also, sorry I couldn't embed it, but blogger keeps denying me it's video loading magic. Tried several formats and sizes. Apparently, I'm just not cool enough. Hooray for youtube.

Version 1

Version 2

Version 3

Also, you can only watch it if you have the URL. I don't like weirdos looking at my stuff. Let me know if there are issues.

  1. I love the expressions!

I think I like the third one most. The other two are amusing, but the absurdity of the gun flying away instead of letting the guy make the decision himself really works. Fail suicides are always funny.

  2. both the second and third versions made me laugh. I kept thinking the character should lower the gun after the other character says "I need you." I agree that the gun flying away works well, though I also enjoy the vengeance of the second one.

  3. I think the first and the third one work best. I'm not sure how the gun flying away is working for me right now. I think you can test out others ways to get the gun out of the picture because the rest is funny as all heck and potatoes! great job!

  4. Thanks y'all! I'm starting to lean towards the gun flying away, buuut I'm not debating the one where he just gives up because of a potential new direction for my thesis (see my other SWEET blog post!)

  5. i like the third and first as well, but i think for the third i would have him try to shoot, fail, and then say he'll give the guy a ride.
i saw the new direction you posted? will it still stay funny? the first could still work as a 'reason' why he doesn't kill himself, utter and complete defeat by life so he just doesnt want to make the effort to kill himself anymore
